Velixo NX 2024.12 Release Notes – Acumatica
Applies to:
- Velixo NX
- Acumatica, MYOB Acumatica, Cegid XRP Flex, Hotel Investor Apps, Haufe X360, Jamis Prime
Release date: December 30th, 2024
Version number: 2024.12.120 or higher
🚀 New:
- The new “Freeze/Unfreeze” functionality on the Velixo ribbon allows you to temporarily convert a Velixo-enabled worksheet to a static view of its data (just the figures). All Velixo formulas are preserved behind the scenes, but they will not recalculate while the worksheet is frozen!
- Here are a few scenarios where Velixo has got you covered:
- You may share a workbook with someone who doesn't have Velixo installed, and they would be able to view the figures and collaborate
- When you travel with slow/absent connectivity and would like to work on your workbook without the formulas constantly refreshing
- As soon as you’re done, just “Unfreeze” the workbook/worksheet, and it may be refreshed again!
- Here are a few scenarios where Velixo has got you covered:
- We have completely revamped the GI() function’s output-to-table mechanism, making it a lot more intuitive and convenient.
- User-added columns with formulas are now always preserved, even in the simple (full mirroring) mode where you don't specify any key columns. User-added columns with values are preserved whenever key columns are specified.
- Destination tables will remain refreshable even if you manually drag and reorder their columns, or insert custom columns into the middle!
- Adding new columns to the Select argument will not reset the table or lead to data loss.
- We have drastically simplified the product licensing process for Velixo VAR partners. Reach out to us to learn more!
✨ Improved:
- Extended the set of long-running operations that can be automatically queued after each other (if you try to start a new operation before the current one finishes).
- Velixo will now detect when Microsoft Excel runs into a known bug when initialising Velixo functions and suggest a simple recovery strategy.
- The TOTABLE() function will now use the actual header names included in the data when DataIncludesHeaders is set to TRUE.
- When connection credentials have not been saved, or single sign-on credentials have expired, Velixo will prompt you to re-establish the connection during the workbook opening process.
- Velixo will now minimise the number of inline spill ranges produced by the Snapshot functionality. Now, it will try to preserve only those that are directly referenced as a spill range (A1#) by other cells or workbook objects. This improves snapshotting performance!
- Support improvements: we have made it easier for Velixo support to troubleshoot bugs that span multiple areas (frontend, backend, and Tools), as those are now associated with a single customer telemetry session.
🐛 Fixed:
- Velixo made unnecessary duplicate requests to determine the users’ eligibility for a free trial, which slowed the connection process.
- After accepting Velixo’s Terms of Use in a workbook set up to refresh upon opening automatically, the side panel contained a misleading error message: “The Terms and Conditions have not been accepted”.
- Fixed a regression in Acumatica’s “Export to Velixo” functionality introduced by the terms and conditions acceptance mechanism.
- A misleading “Connection not licensed” error could be shown upon connection if you were connecting to a “cold” ERP site (that hasn’t been used in a while and takes time to warm up).
- The “Connect and refresh” button in the connection editor (under the drop-down from “Connect”) did not trigger a refresh.
- Multiple other minor bug fixes.
