Budget Writeback - "No data to process" message after upgrading to Velixo NX

Symptoms

You get a "No data to process" message in the Status pane after upgrading to Velixo NX and clicking the Perform Writeback button, using a report built in Velixo Classic.

Explanation

Older versions of Velixo Classic did not require using the WRITEBACKBUDGET function, and Budget Writeback sheets did not include a Writeback Status column with the function. Newer Velixo Classic versions (v6+) were backward compatible and supported those olders sheets, but Velixo NX requires the use of the WRITEBACKBUDGET function.

Resolution

You may easily resolve this issue in Velixo NX, by either:

• (Preferred) Creating a new Budget Writeback sheet from the New Sheet button, and copying your values into this new sheet, OR
• Adding the WRITEBACKBUDGET function into your older Budget sheet (copying the formula from a new Budget Writeback sheet)
