Velixo functions only return a single result when combined with TEXTSPLIT

Overview

When combined in a single formula with the Excel TEXTSPLIT function, Velixo functions only return a single record in a single cell instead of returning all relevant records in a spill range.

Cause

This behavior is due to the implementation of the TEXTSPLIT function by Microsoft.

The Velixo team submitted a support ticket regarding this issue in late 2024.

To help accelerate the resolution of this ticket, we highly encourage our customers to bring Microsoft's attention to this issue by clicking the “thumbs up” emoji under the original message in the thread.

Workarounds

VXTEXTSPLIT function

To remedy this issue, use the dedicated VXTEXTSPLIT function instead of TEXTSPLIT.

Separate formulas

Since the issue is present when TEXTSPLIT is combined with Velixo functions, divide the Excel TEXTSPLIT and Velixo functions into separate formulas in distinct cells.
